National Novel Writing Month 2023

Have you ever wanted to write a novel?

We all have a story to tell, but we all have reasons why we don’t do it:

“I don’t know how to write.”

“I don’t have the time.”

“I don’t have any talent for it.”

“Fiction doesn’t offer any value to the world.”

“It’s too hard.”

“People will laugh at me.”

I’m here to tell you that all of those excuses are wrong.

Too harsh? Maybe, but I was where you were.

Everyone is busy, but we make time for the things that matter to us. Talent is overrated—writing is a skill that has to be developed. Fiction is a refuge for all of us. Remember the pandemic and how we all turned to our favorite shows and movies to help us get through it?

Most of the time, we’re too intimidated by the prospect. That’s a lot of words!

But what if writing a novel could be easy? What if all it took was a bit of reckless courage and a little bit of a nudge?

National Novel Writing Month is here to get you started.

November is National Novel Writing Month. During the month, you write a novel of 50,000 words. 50,000 is about the length of The Great Gatsby, a novel you may have heard of. It’s a mad dash to write and ultimately to silence all your fears about writing.

Here’s the big truth:

You don’t know what you can do until you do it.

So why don’t you take the chance to prove something to yourself? Come learn how to write a novel.
